We offer a unique combination of experience ranging from little league, high school, collegiate and post collegiate experience. We focus on speed and agility training as a cornerstone to developing better baseball players.
Byron Charboneau
Byron played collegiately at Trenton State College (1995-1999) in New Jersey, playing both 3rd base and catcher, including starting as a freshman. Byron was a four-year starter at Middletown South High School (1992-1995) in New Jersey and a two-year captain. Throughout his baseball career, Byron had the opportunity to catch two first round draft picks and played alongside numerous other former major and minor league baseball players. Byron is a current resident of Kingwood, Texas and grew up playing little league baseball in Forest Cove. Byron began his coaching career with softball in 2014 and baseball in 2019 and spent the past two years as an assistant coach for select baseball. He is the Chief Financial Officer for Fractal Resources, LLC and a CPA.
Mike Schrang
Mike grew up in Kingwood, Texas, playing in the local Forest Cove Baseball and KFL Football leagues. After finishing high school as an All-State Safety, Mike attended Louisiana Tech University on a football scholarship. He was a four year letterman for the Bulldogs, and later transitioned to a Graduate Assistant on the Skip Holtz-led staff at LaTech. He was responsible for coaching the Defensive Line, and supporting the recruiting/strength training/scouting efforts of the team. Mike has been a coach in Kingwood for the last 3 years, through Forest Cove baseball, Wildcatters baseball, and Kingwood Under the Lights Flag Football leagues. Mike currently resides in Kingwood, Texas, and is a Materials Manager for Veolia North America. He serves as a Sunday School Teacher at United City Church.
John Pingel
John played football, basketball and baseball from childhood through high school in Amarillo, Texas. He began coaching his oldest son, Wyatt in 2021. He has coached in the Kingwood Under the Lights Flag Football league, and baseball at Forest Cove. John is a current resident of Atascocita, Texas, and is a faculty member of the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, and the Director of the Sales Excellence Institute. John and Mike have coached together for 3 years within multiple sports.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide local youth with an opportunity to participate in select baseball at a more moderate pace than other select organizations in the area. We strive to provide an environment that promotes teamwork while also maximizing individual player development. Our coaches will build team camaraderie and lead by example. We will build upon quality practice reps and attention to detail. We expect our players to always hustle, give their best effort, practice with intensity and purpose and play the game hard.
On the field, through practice and competition, we accelerate the development of baseball skills and the importance of preparation, teamwork, good sportsmanship, attention to detail, confidence, appropriate responses to success and adversity and the development of leadership. The organization achieves its goals with outstanding leadership from its founding members, its coaches, and families of the players.
